How not to miss an alert

A restock sometimes lasts only a few minutes. Set this up once so the alert is loud and visible even on the lock screen.

Telegram — the main channel

  1. Open the chat with @instockwatch_bot, tap its name at the top and make sure notifications are on (not muted).
  2. In the same place pick a Sound that stands out from your other chats.
  3. iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Telegram → turn on Allow Notifications, Sounds, Lock Screen and set Banner Style to Persistent, so the banner stays until you swipe it away.
  4. Android: Settings → Apps → Telegram → Notifications → Private chats → importance High (or Urgent), sound on.

Website push on iPhone

Needs iOS 16.4 or later. On iPhone push works only from the Home Screen app, not in regular Safari.

  1. Open instock.watch in Safari.
  2. Tap Share (the square with an arrow) → Add to Home Screen. If there is an Open as Web App switch, keep it on, otherwise the icon opens regular Safari with toolbars. Tap Add.
  3. Open InStock from the Home Screen icon, not from Safari.
  4. Sign in again: the Home Screen app has its own sign-in, separate from Safari.
  5. My watches → Turn on in this browser → Allow.
  6. Settings → Notifications → InStock: Allow Notifications, Sounds, Lock Screen, Banner Style Persistent.

Push on Android

  1. Open instock.watch in Chrome and sign in.
  2. My watches → Turn on in this browser → Allow.
  3. Not arriving? Settings → Apps → Chrome → Notifications — allow. In Chrome: ⋮ → Settings → Site settings → Notifications → instock.watch — Allow.
  4. Settings → Apps → Chrome → Battery → Unrestricted. Otherwise the system delays pushes to save battery.

Computer

  1. Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari: My watches → Turn on in this browser.
  2. Mac: System Settings → Notifications → your browser → allow, style Alerts (stays until closed). Windows: Settings → System → Notifications → browser — on.

Do Not Disturb and Focus

  1. iPhone: Settings → Focus → Do Not Disturb (and other modes such as Sleep) → Apps → add Telegram and InStock.
  2. Android: Settings → Sound → Do Not Disturb → Apps → add Telegram and Chrome.

Email

If you signed in with email, alerts go there too. Add the sender to your contacts so they do not land in spam.

Can you send critical alerts that sound even when muted?

No. Apple grants that permission only to specific apps such as medical and public-safety ones; neither Telegram nor websites can get it. The closest you can get is Telegram allowed through Do Not Disturb plus a separate loud sound for the bot chat.
